As some of you will have noticed, the Aion game servers for the EU were sent offline very briefly this afternoon for some emergency unscheduled maintenance.
Since the maintenance (at approximately 16:30 BST), some players have reported issues staying connected. Rest assured the NCsoft team are working to resolve any issues and will get things back up and running shortly.
This week the highly anticipated 1.9 update went live on the public test server, and guess what, they had thousands of players online testing the new content before it goes to the live servers this upcoming Wednesday.
As exciting as that is, they have been busy releasing new videos this week, including a new Aion Podcast, a preview of what’s coming with their free fall expansion, Aion®: Assault on Balaurea™, and their third installment of their educational PSA series, The More You MMO, Earn Your Powers.

While some anticipated game features take longer than others to implement, Aion continues to develop at a steady pace. A new wave of information arrived recently and helped illustrate the game’s future a bit better. On Monday, we published the (nearly epic in scope) initial Korean 2.0 patch notes in English, and they’ve garnered quite a bit of interest since.
